Membership Information

The Alliance of Angels (AoA) is a group of individual accredited investors interested in financing early-stage technology companies in the Pacific Northwest. The AoA acts as a "matchmaker" for young technology companies and interested investors. The purpose of the organization is to help grow technology-based businesses and provide investment opportunities and resources to our investor members.

Membership Privileges

Our staff and member services are funded with annual membership dues and the generous support of our corporate sponsors. Annual membership dues to the AoA provide members with the following privileges:

• Access to approximately 200 business plans from local high tech startups each year through our "members only" Web site.
• Access to about 40 pre-screened private investment opportunities each year at monthly member meetings.
• Company research reports for each the companies invited to present to the AoA membership.
• Free attendance at each of the 10 AoA member lunch meetings.
• Top-quality investor education events hosted by the AoA.
• Access to the AoA-approved term sheet and other investor resources on our members only Web site.
• Easy access to other AoA members who may be interested in co-investing with you through our AoA email, networking, and staff referrals.

Membership Requirements

In addition to being an accredited individual investor*, the following requirements must be met for an individual to be considered for AoA membership:

• A private investment made within the last 12 months and the sponsorship of a current member; or
• The sponsorship of three current AoA members.

While investment in specific companies or in specific dollar amounts is not required, the goal of the AoA is to encourage angel investing in the Pacific Northwest. Individuals who apply for AoA membership should do so with the intention of making at least one investment each year in an early stage technology-based business.
